Current lineup:

Lefthand Freddy & the Aces (now: LEFTHAND FREDDY) was formed in the early 1990s. The band quickly progressed and became more and more  popular. Not only in the Netherlands but across the Dutch borders as well.They played at major festivals in Germany (Leverkusener Jazztage), France (Nuit de Blues), Hungary (Sziget) and England (Gloucester Blues Festival and the legendary '100' club in London). Guitarist/singer Fred Reining (Lefthand Freddy) is a 'blues institution' in the Netherlands and far beyond, as evidenced by the many praises in the (inter)national press. In 2023, Lefthand Freddy was inducted into the Dutch Blues Hall of Fame.

The album SOUL STRINGS, released in 2014, was widely praised: “Masterpiece, a must for every guitar player in the Netherlands.” The latest album CARRY ON! (2023) is the long-awaited successor and is also extremely well received by  press and public.

The success of CARRY ON! in 2023 has resulted in a nice distribution deal with Coast to Coast Music, which means that this album and most previously released LF albums can now be listened to or obtained everywhere. On all well-known streaming services such as Spotify, YouTube Music and Apple Music or as a CD album at bol.com and the better record stores.

Berend 'Boogie B' Reining - guitar
Fred's son on guitar is the proverbial apple that didn't fall far from the blues tree. With his own sound and boogie specialty.

Hannes Langkamp - drums
Ex Fox the Fox, MUSKEE and Lefthand Freddy. He has taken over the drum sticks again starting July 2021.

André van der Werf - bass
Played freelance/guest roles as a bassist in a seemingly endless  row of musicians and bands: To mention a few: Georgie Fame, Swamp, the Kopspijkers cabaret, Jan Akkerman, Nick Bult, Gina's Band of Blues and many more.

Jan Diertens - Hammond and piano
Played with  R&B Ravers, Rude Sister, Mr. Sax & The Giant a.o. A boost to  the band lineup starting July 2021.
